Autocover
Very
often motor insurance quotation systems are designed from the point
of view of the insurer without considering whether it is useable
in a face-to-face sales situation with a customer. There is a widely
used dealer quotation system that requires 60 separate pieces of
information spread over 6 pages just to get an accurate quote for
a married couple.
We
have designed our autocover system from the dealers / sellers point
of view. Our priority was to make it useable in a sales situation.
By
taking the minimum amount of information to satisfy the insurers
criteria at the point of quotation, we have made it possible to
provide an accurate price for the same married
couple with just 14 pieces of information on a single page! Any
remaining information can be taken after the customer has agreed
the price and to go ahead. Even at this point the system only requires
8 further pieces of information!

well as the software based delivery systems we recognise that sometimes
it is more appropriate to deliver the products by more traditional
means. We have dealers who sell exclusively paper-based products
and we are more than happy to support this type of programme if
it is the right approach for your business.
Our
experience has also shown us that direct marketing through telesales
and/or a mailing programme can be a very cost effective way of delivering
many types of product. These methods can be used to enhance or “sweep-up”
after a point of sale offering to ensure all customers receive a
presentation. A direct marketing campaign can also be used as the
only approach, used in this way it provides a very consistent message
and a very measurable response.
